Ubuntu Tribe

I'm pissed off with Novell, their agreement with Microsoft over supposed Intellectual Propriety violations it's getting around the corporate world making room for more nonsense. I decided to move away from any Novell related products ( openSUSE 10.2 ) and give a REAL try to Ubuntu into my Workstation.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) for about a week now and everything is working fine and It's by far the most polished and finished Linux distribution I've ever installed.

It has a vibrant community, well documented and like any GNU/Linux Debian based distribution takes advantage of the greatest Free Software binary collection available. It comes with over 18733 packages, precompiled software bundled up in a nice format for easy installation on your machine.

Ubuntu Tribe the movie is inspired in the Basque Free Software developers community, which actually has a lot of handicaps adapting the language to the fast changes of the new technologies. But the effort of this community has made the Basque Language not to be threw away, so far, from the information technologies train.

Ubuntu Tribe is a product developed by the Ubuntu Basque Tribe association in Collaboration with students of the Sarobe Film and Video School.

Take a look at the english trailer from the Ubuntutribe

The music of the trailer is from the basque group Delorean, a fragment of the song called “Metropolitan Death”.

Watch the Clip.
